Full name: Cindy Santa Ana
Age-ish: 43 and proud of it!
What part of the DC Metro Area do you live in? Northern VA, out in the ‘burbs
Career: Originally Public Relations & Marketing, but now, Health Coaching
Education: B.S. Physical Education & Health; Integrative Nutrition – Health Coaching certificate
This and That:
What are your favorite and least favorite things about the DC Metro Area? My favorite thing is the beauty of the area in all the seasons – from the Cherry Blossoms to summer green to fall’s foliage! Obviously the traffic is my least favorite. When are they inventing that flying car??!!
What was your first job out of college and how did you land that position? My first job was Health Program Director at the YWCA and I just applied and got it!
What is your mantra? Eat Real Food…or Die!
What is your favorite DC Cupcakery? Sorry, I don’t do sugar.
Coffee or Tea? I’m caffeine-free, but I do like decaf green tea and this Chinese herbal tea that has a weird name.
What is on your nightstand? Stacks of healthy mags, books on super foods and a notebook to jot down thoughts when I wake up.
How do you balance everything in your life? Time for me, time for family and time with my kids – I try to carve out time for all of us.
If you could give your 22 year old self a piece of advice what would it be? Just do it! Don’t be afraid or think you can’t because it’s not what everyone else is doing.
How did you start your business? School, study, earn certificate, started networking. They won’t come to you, so get out there and go where your customers are!
