Bring the Outdoors In

Indoor PlantsCredit: West Elm

Looking to bring the tranquility of the outdoors into your living space? Plants are not only lovely to look at, but they can also help improve the indoor air quality in your home. If you don’t have a green thumb, selecting the appropriate plants for your interior can be overwhelming. I recently discovered The Sill, a custom plant design service. The Sill will work with you to come up with a plan for incorporating greenery into your space that fits your personal style and budget, no matter how large or small your project.

Wall planters are a great way to incorporate greenery into a living space. Mix a few wall planters in various shapes and sizes to create a unique gallery wall as seen in the image above. My favorite ceramic wall planters are from West Elm, in collaboration with style director Shane Powers, author of Bring the Outdoors In: Garden Projects for Decorating and Styling Your Home.

Not ready to make the commitment to real plants? Consider wallpapering an accent wall with a natural setting like this one from Cole and Son.
