Good question! Wedding branding is creating a visual identity for your big day. It involves creating a logo, color palette, font selections, and patterns and using those items to create printed products and event websites. The purpose of wedding branding is to have a consistent look. We design and print all the invites and anything else you could possibly need using the logo we created to make your event truly one-of-a-kind.
When working with a couple the first thing we’ll do is ask them a few questions so we can get to know their style. We’ll ask things like “where is your favorite place to shop” and “which of these words best describes your wedding style: whimsical, sophisticated, vintage, grunge, retro, glamorous, rustic”.
Once we get the answers to the questions we’ve asked and talk a little bit with the couple we really have a good idea of visually what they want. After chatting with Sarah I knew it was Lilly, Shabby Chic, Moroccan designs and coral and mint colors to make this brand be fitting of the bride to be’s Garden Shower.
Next we will create an inspiration board for their wedding brand. We’ll create a pinterest board and pin images that we feel are representative of the look they’re going for. We, of course, invite the couple to pin their hearts away! From that pin board we’ll create an official inspiration board which is a collage of those pin images.
Once we have an inspiration board we will put together a few logo options for the couple. The logo usually has the couples first names and wedding date. After they choose one we’ll create a brand board using that logo. A brand board includes a full color logo, monogram logo, color palette, fonts, and patterns.
We use the items on the brand board to create any and all paper products like invitations and save the dates.
