Yellow Vendor is a truck that specializes in Korean BBQ. I love Korean BBQ so this truck is right up my alley. They have a variety of different lunch boxes available with either chicken, beef, or vegetarian. The meat can come spicy or mild and is served over rice with kimchi (pickled Korean cabbage) and a side salad. You can double up on the kimchi if you want as well.
Since I don’t eat beef, I love the spicy chicken which was what I got the day I went to the truck. I have tried the mild chicken in a mild/spicy combo as well and it is good and has a nice teriyaki flavor but the spicy is really good. I like spicy food and this has a nice bite to it so if you do not like spicy I would try the mild or the combo. The combo is good because the mild chicken can tame the spicy if you want a mixture. The day I went I got the spicy chicken and got double kimchi and no salad. I love kimchi. If you have never had it, it is like Korea’s version of sauerkraut but with a spicy after tone. I do not think it is really spicy but I know some people who do. The chicken they give you is very tender and they give a good amount. I have been a few times and every time the rice is perfectly fluffy. The kimchi is always nice and crisp and you can tell it is fresh.
The service on the Yellow Vendor is always fast and friendly. The food is hot and ready to go so it never takes more than five minutes to get your food. They only take cash so make sure to stop by the ATM on the way. Look for them on Twitter to find out where they are. If you like Korean BBQ, spicy or mild, give Yellow Vendor them a try.
